Introduction to LIDEC technology...
Developed in cooperation with “Paris VI” University, the Lidec series liquid level sensors series are especially designed for marine applications.
They provide a reliable solution to liquid level detection.

Their operating principle, a patent granted to Honeywell Marine Solutions, is based on the propagation of a surface wave inside a stainless steel probe.
This principle is fully static, without vibration or moving parts. A "self-monitoring" function ensures the reliability of this equipment. This allows these sensors to be used in safety systems such as overfill protection, bilge well alarm and water ingress detection...
How does the fail safe operation improve ?
This function is decisive for the crew’s safety because it ensures an alarm in any case (presence of liquid, but also defect of the system: broken sensor, ceramics or electronics out of order, cut off wire).

  • L92

The Lidec level switch L90 type, specially designed for cargo tanks - high level and  / or overflow. With a stainless steel housing it can mounted directly on deck. 
Two types are availables :

  • L91 : Single detection 95% or 98%
  • L92 : Independent double detection: High Level & Overflow

  • L90 CH-T

Thanks to a welded detection probe the Lidec level switch L90 CHT  is designed for chemical & high temperature products - high level and /or overflow. With a stainless steel housing, it can be mounted directly on deck. 
Two types are also availables :

  • L91CHT: single detection 95% or 98%
  • L92 CHT: independent double detection high level & overflo

The Lidec type L20D offers a dependable solution for fuel and oil tanks –high or low level. The Liquid level switch Lidec L20D is designed to be installed horizontally or vertically. Also, it requires no calibration as not influenced by type of fluid.
